Australian lightweight, IBF #12 Lenny Zappavigna (23-0, 15 KOs) will return to ring action on Thursday when he will clash with Indonesian Billy Sumba (18-1-1, 4 KOs) over ten rounds at the Assyrian Sports and Culture club in Fairfield, NSW, Australia. Zappavigna, 22 years, captured the vacant IBO 135 pound title in March when he outscored Fernado Angulo over twelve action rounds at the Rancho Mirage in California, USA. Zappavigna trained by Tommy Mecure and promoted and managed by Gary Shaw. On the undercard, former 2004 Olympic heavyweight representative Adan Forsythe (7-0, 6 KOs) and light heavyweight George Xerras will be in action in six round bouts. The promoter is three time world champion and Hall-of-Famer Jeff Fenech. Televised on Foxtel Cable Television Network throughout Australia.
