Welterweight Ernesto Zavala (21-4, 8 KOs) defeated Oregon’s Jason Davis (11-6-1) by way of third round TKO in a weltweight main event on Thursday night at the Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles, California. After an expected slow round one, Zavala began regularly connecting on Davis. The bout was stopped at the end of round three by the referee when Davis was unable to continue due to an apparent arm or shoulder injury. It was the first bout for Zavala in nearly five years. Legendary Trainer Freddie Roach worked the corner of Zavala.
In the co-feature, heavyweight Damian ‘Bolo’ Wills (27-2-1) stopped journeyman Billy Willis (12-19-1) by way of fourth round TKO. Craig Zimmerman’s MEZ Sports promoted the event.
