Zaveck ready to fight

BF world champion Jan Zaveck had his final 10 round sparring session with his coach Dirk Dzemski on Thursday at the SES gym in Magdeburg previous to his upcoming showdown with Rafal Jackiewicz. Today he will be traveling to Slovenia and have his last preparations on his way. “I’m on fire and ready for this challenge. I’m feeling great and I’m in perfect shape,” Zaveck stated. His mandatory defense on Saturday, September 4 will be staged at the Sport-Park-Arena in Ljubljana with an expected crowd of 14.000 and will be a question of honor for the 34 year old champion. He and his Polish contender already met two years ago in a fight for the European title but it was a very questionable decision win for Jackiewicz. The bout was later named “Fight of the year 2008″ by the EBU. That’s why the fight is themed as “Question of Honor”. The will be broadcasted live in Germany on Sport1 live from 10:00pm as well on TV SLOVENIA and in Poland on POLsat.
