Former IBF welterweight champion Jan Zaveck (32-3, 18 KOs) is looking for an impressive win when he meets Sebastien Allais (15-7-4, 5 KOs) on October 19 in Leipzig. The 37-year-old SES fighter is looking to get back to the top level after losing to current WBA interim beltholder Keith Thurman in March. He has now completed the first few weeks of intensive preparation after recovering from an elbow injury. “There is still a champion in me,” proclaimed Zaveck. “I’m going to wake him up again. I know I can get back to the top. If I clear defeat Allais, I’ll know where I stand. Then we’ll continue towards the title fight!”
