Zbik criticizes Sturm
WBC interim middleweight champion Sebastian Zbik (30-0, 14 KOs) said he wasn’t impressed with fellow German champion Felix Sturm’s performance Saturday night or Sturm’s choice of opponent. Sturm defeated Giovanni Lorenzo by unanimous decision before 18,715 in Cologne, Germany. “Felix continuously said in recent months that he only wants big fights, but the opponent yesterday was quite small – without any resistance. I had a fun time counting. The left came 22 times, the right two times. The fight was boring and wasn’t world championship level. If Felix wants to box the best at middleweight, he can face me in his own backyard. He wants to box again in December. This fits, as I still don’t have any plans for then.”
