By Ray Wheatley – World of Boxing

Melbourne-based middleweight Michael Zerafa (22-2, 13 KOs) stopped Tomas Andres Reynoso (10-2-1, 5 KOs) in round six at the Melbourne Pavillion, Flemington, Victoria on Saturday. Referee Malcolm Bulner gave Reynoso eight counts in the second and fifth rounds and called it off at 2:58 of round six. Zerafa’s only losses were to former middleweight champion Peter Quillin in 2015 in the USA and world rated Arif Magomedov in 2014 in Russia.

In heavyweight action, David Cannon (1-3) forced a three round stoppage over Gatopai Telepe (0-4) when referee Tony Marretta crowned Cannon at 1:59 of a scheduled four.

Also heavyweight Ray Dimachki (4-0) stopped Maga Telepe (2-5) in round one of a scheduled four. Telepe was dropped in round one and retired at the conclusion of the round.

    Help Support®

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
