Unbeaten former WBO light heavyweight and cruiserweight champion Zsolt Erdei (31-0, 17 KOs) is training hard for his American debut under the DeBella banner. Currently, the former national amateur head coach Karoly Balzsay Sr. directs Zsolt’s training camp at the KSI Gym in Budapest. The “Firebird” is ready to begin the sparring phase of his training camp, where he currently weighs only 179 pounds. Erdei’s main sparring partner, the unbeaten Hungarian/Slovakian “Tomi Kid” Kovacs (17-0-0, 12 KOs) arrives next week. The 36-year-old Hungarian was signed two weeks ago with DiBella Entertainment and will fight on the Martinez-Williams undercard against journeyman Sampson Onyango (20-6) from Kenya.
