Zuniga ready to fight!

Tuesday marked the second time Fulgencio Zuniga had been to Montreal. The first was last September when he brought to the city to help prepare IBF champion Lucian Bute keep his world super-middleweight title with some scheduled sparring. This time out, the Colombian slugger has exactly the opposite in mind. “I’m coming with a great hunger to win this fight. I’m coming to Quebec to win the belt and to bring it back to Columbia.” But while both boxers renewed acquaintances before this Friday’s fight at the Bell Centre, both were very quiet and reserved and the thunder was stolen by Alfredo Marchio, promoter to the challenger who threatened to pull out if Montreal referee is the third man in the ring when the bell rings.
