Everlast launches the
Teddy Atlas Workout System!

March 25, 2008

As boxing continues to gain popularity as a favorite new workout among men and women of all ages, Everlast Worldwide Inc., manufacturer, marketer and licensor of sporting goods, apparel, footwear, and other active lifestyle products under the Everlast brand name, are proud to announce the launch of the new Teddy Atlas Workout System.

World-champion trainer Teddy Atlas and Everlast have created a one-of-a-kind workout regime, available this spring in select retailers and online at www.everlast.com. The professional-level heavy bag was created with a numbered diamond shaped training target on a durable Nevatear® heavy bag in order to build strength, mobility and endurance. The numbers represent different types of punches such as a left hook up top (1), a jab (7) and left hook to the body (5). With accompanying downloadable instructions that can be downloaded to an MP3 player, participants can hear Atlas’s voice providing motivation and strategic workout tips round by round.

Atlas, well known for his unique training techniques that inspired this new bag and trained world champion boxers such as Mike Tyson, Michael Moorer and Barry McGuigan, created the bag to mimic his own world-class training tactics and provide a useful training tool for boxers and trainers alike. The Teddy Atlas bag was inspired by Atlas’ early training days, using a mattress propped up against a wall -- now the Teddy Atlas bag is a controlled, professional-level boxing bag. The workout combinations, specifically created for his training regimens, range from Beginner to Advanced depending on the complexity of the combinations, speed between punches and defensive responsibility. Through the downloadable instructions, Atlas never lets the individual quit, inspiring them to take control of themselves and their training and to stay focused and motivated.

To watch a demonstration with the bag or hear a sample of Atlas’s the downloadable workout, please visit www.everlast.com. The bag is currently available at www.everlast.com and at DICK’S Sporting Goods for $199.99.
