Solis still IBF jr fly champion!

IBF jr flyweight champion Ulisis "Archie" Solis (24-1-2, 18 KOs) scored a ninth round TKO over former WBC champion Jose Antonio "El Jaguar" Aguirre (34-6-1, 20 KOs) on Saturday night at the Auditorio Benito Juárez de Zapopan in Guadalajara, Mexico. Solis was in command from the beginning, dropping Aguirre twice in the fourth round. The one-sided bout was halted by referee Jesús "Chucho" Salcedo when Aguirre went down again in the ninth. It was Solis' fourth defense. In other action, Omar Chavez, son of the legendary Julio Caesar Chavez,needed just 29 seconds to overwhelm overmatched Enrique Fernandez.
