Peden stops Campbell again! Wednesday, February 23 2005 By Ray Wheatley -- World of Boxing Jr lightweight Robbie Peden proved his previous knockout over Nate Campbell was no fluke by repeating the deed Wednesday night in Melbourne, Australia -- this time for the IBF 130lb world title. Referee Johnny Wright stopped the bout at 2:53 of round eight with Campbell taking punishment on the ropes. Campbell was behind on all scorecards and bleeding from the nose and cuts over both eyes when the bout was halted. After the bout, Campbell blamed the referee for his loss, commenting "you can't fight the referee." In other action, IBF #1 middleweight Sam Soliman KO'd Miguel Julio in round four, former title challenger Shannan Taylor stopped Ruben Diaz in round three and unbeaten lightweight Michael Katsidis (15-0, 13 KOs) destroyed Eduardo Alvarez in the first round.
