Killer Queen returns Aug 30!

Monday, July 7 2008

Spotlight Boxing's first "ProSieben Fight Night" after the summer break will take place on August 30th at the Burg-Wächter Castello in Düsseldorf, featuring "Killer Queen" Susi Kentikian (21-0, 18 KOs). The unbeaten WBA/WIBF world champion will defend against durable pressure fighter Hagar Finer (16-6-3, 4 KOs), who has gone the distance in three world title fights. Kentikian, arguably the most exciting female boxer in the sport, however, is known for ending fights early. "We know Hagar Finer well," said Kentikian. "She boxed against Regina Halmich in her farewell fight – and also Alesia Graf and Julia Sahin didn't have it easy with her -- and during the last two years she has clearly improved." The "Killer Queen" has had two quick knockouts since going the distance last December and says that break has allowed her to properly recover. "Now I'm hot for for this next fight," she concluded. The 20-year-old world champion was in Argentina last week to accept the WBA's "Female Champion of the Year" award.

The card will also feature world rated middleweight Sebastian Zbik and EU super featherweight champ Vitali Tajbert against opponents to be announced.
