Alongside the woemen's world championship battle between champion Susi Kentikian vs. Hagar Shmoulefeld Finer, the "ProSieben Fight Night" in Düsseldorf will feature unbeaten WBO #1 ranked middleweight Sebastian Zbik (23-0, 9 KOs) defending his Intercontinental belt against world rated Brazilian John Anderson Carvalho (18-2-1, 11 KOs). The Spotlight Boxing fighter Zbik has prepared for this challenge with his team and coach Fritz Sdunek in Zinnowitz, located on the Baltic island of Usedom. "Here in Zinnowitz we have ideal conditions with a fantastic seaside location with a fresh breeze and the sound of the sea. I'm really enjoying it! My opponent is a tough one and his record speaks for itself. I might be a gentleman outside the ring but I can't be one inside the ring because there are no excuses!" "Explosive, powerful and intelligent," is how world class trainer Fritz Sdunek describes the style and skill of his charge. A passionate fisherman in his spare time, Zbik now hopes to reel in a really big fish on land. Only with a win over Latino Champion and WBO #13 Carvalho can Zbik maintain his WBO #1 spot and remain in line for a world title shot in the near future. The boxing actions starts at 6:30PM with ProSieben broadcasting LIVE from 10:25PM. At ringside commentating will be Regina Halmich and Jan Stecker. The complete fightcard features super featherweight Vitali Tajbert, KO king Marcos Rene Maidana of Argentina, super middleweight Eduard Gutknecht, Marcel Meyerdiercks at featherweight, local heavyweight prospect Markus Tomala and Christian Hammer in his pro debut.
