WBA super middleweight champion Anthony Mundine will defend the championship against Argentina's Jose Clavero at Sydney Entertainment Centre, NSW, Australia on December 10. Mundine says he's after big fights and wants to challenge the winner of the Mikkel Kessler vs Joe Calzaghe WBA/WBC/WBO super middlweight title bout. Mundine is also after a rematch with world light heavyweight contender Danny Green who will start favorite to lift the WBA 175 pound title from Stipe Drews in Perth, Australia on December 16. Mundine will defend his WBA super-middleweight belt again in March and plans to challenge the Kessler-Calzaghe winner within the next nine months.

After rejecting the advice of doctors to have a cornea transplant, Mundine revealed he has been affected by shortsightedness for most of his boxing career. Mundine said, "I have an eye condition called keratoconus that makes your eyeball go out of shape so you lose your focus and you can't see distances."
