WBC #10, IBF #13, and WBA #14 rated super lightweight Francisco "El Gato" Figueroa moved to 19-2 with 13 KOs after a twelve round unanimous decision over Luis Rodriguez, (22-2, 13 KOs) on Wednesday night at Gotham Hall in New York City. Scores were 118-110, 117-111, 116-112. Figueroa retained his NABF title with the win.
Earlier, unbeaten lightweight Joel Torres (9-0-1, 5 KOs) suffered the first blemish on his record after an uneventful eight-rounder against Chris Fernandez (15-4-1, 8 KOs) ended in a draw.
