Hinkey writes history in Fallon!

Derek Hinkey (6-1, 6 KOs) added another knockout to his record, this time against the outgunned Ben Aragon (7-12-2, 5 KOs) on Friday night in Fallon, NV part of their annual Hearts of Gold Cantaloupe Festival. Hinkey landed a series of rights that floored Aragon towards the middle of the first round. Aragon rose to be met with a left hook that prompted Vic Drakulich to stop the fight, however a vicious uppercut landed as Vic jumped in and the hapless Aragon was on canvas again at 2:20. In the co-feature local Michael Peralta (4-3, 1 KO) lost to Khadaphi Proctor (3-2-1) in a lackluster split decision. The scores were 58-56 twice for Proctor and 58-56 for Peralta. Raul Duhart (2-0, 2 KOs) stopped Andrew Rempp (0-1) in an obvious mismatch in the first at 1:37 as Duhart repeatedly landed to the head beating Rempp from one corner to the other. Therom DeLorme won his pro debut over Manny Crotrich, additionally Clarence Tillman, Jacob Chavez and David Springer all recorded their first professional wins.
