On September 13, IBF/WBA/WBO lightweight champion Nate Campbell will defend his titles against undefeated former two-division world champion and mandatory challenger Joan Guzman at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi. Campbell stated today that he believes Guzman's style "works for me" and "I'm the bigger man in this fight. I'm phyically stronger.....I'm here to do some damage." Guzman, who previously held titles at 122 and 130 lbs. commented "We have the quickness and great defense on our side. We're going to give him a hell of a fight!"

In the co feature, WBC super lightweight champion Timothy Bradley will open the telecast and make his initial world title defense when he takes on #6 contender Edner Cherry. Bradley stated his advantages over Cherry will be "my speed and movement." Cherry said, "I'll go in there and just be me. That's it." Both promised a great fight. The world championship doubleheader can be seen on SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING (live at 9 p.m. ET/PT, delayed on the west coast).
