Baloyi to face Alvarez!

South Africa’s Cassius Baloyi, who has won a South African record six world organization belts, makes the first defense of his IBF junior lightweight belt against Javier Osvaldo Alvarez from Argentina at Emperors Palace in Kempton Park on September 13, on promoter Rodney Berman’s Golden Gloves Promotions tournament. When Baloyi 35-3-1; 18 enters the ring to defend his IBF junior lightweight belt against Alvarez 35-7-1; 16 he will be participating in his 23rd world title bout if you exclude his losing fight against Phillip Ndou in November 2001 when they fought for the so called catchweight belt.
