WBA Light Heavyweight Champion Hugo Garay: “I’ve had two bad experiences with fights in Germany. Therefore, I prepared even more intensively and decided to fight with my heart. Now I would like a title unification and to get revenge against Zsolt Erdei.
Challenger Jürgen Brähmer: I didn’t properly use my mobility. He imposed his tactics on me. That was very clever. Already in the first three rounds I didn’t fight how we really wanted to fight. I wanted to fight, but that’s not really my boxing style. I really counted too much on catchng him with something hard. But the experience of such a fight is very important for me. I will learn from it. We must take these fights to get to the top and that’s what I want. I started boxing to become a world champion and not only European champion. so I will continue to work on this dream. And I will do it. That I am sure. I can still be better. I noticed this in training. If I go on working hard, I get quickly get where I want to be. (more…)

Most fighters have a hard time returning to the scene that delivered their most heartbreaking loss. Ricky Hatton was soundly pummeled and knocked out by Floyd Mayweather Jr. just one year ago at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas.
