The WBA bantamweight title fight between champion Anselmo “Chemito” Moreno (26-1-1, 8 KOs) of Panama and French challenger Frederic Patrac (26-7-1, 13 KOs) scheduled to be held in Agde, France on November 7th has been postponed. The postponement is due to the fact that Moreno suffered a trauma to the rib cage during a sparring session. Jacques Deschamps, the champion’s business agent in Europe, declared “Chemito is fine and has no broken rib as it was first feared. The champion will honor his commitment with Patric as soon as he is deemed fit to fight.” Moreno, a southpaw stylist who is not afraid to fight in his opponent’s backyard, has become a popular figure in Europe where he won the title and has defended his crown twice on the old continent.
