Unbeaten "Son of a Legend," super welterweight Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (36-0-1, 29 KOs) continued his unbeaten tear through the 154lb division with a ninth round TKO over previously unbeaten Tobia Giuseppe Loriga (24-1-1, 6 KOs) on Saturday night at the Plaza de Toros in Queretaro, Mexico.

Chavez floored Loriga with a huge right hand in round two, but Loriga was able to finish the round. Chavez continued to slowly break down the Italian domestic champion, but Junior seemed to twist his right ankle in round seven. After a Chavez barrage in the ninth, Loriga took a knee and watched referee Guadalupe Garcia count him out. Time was 1:47.

After the bout, Chavez stated that he was pleased with his performance and added that he's ready to face Hector Camacho Jr., in a bout that would reprise the famous showdown between their fathers back in 1992 in Las Vegas.

Middleweight Hector Camacho Jr. (46-3-1, 25 KOs) set up a potential showdown with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. with a one-sided eight round unanimous decision over Kenny Kost (14-4, 6 KOs). Camacho dropped Kost with a big left hand in round two and floored Kost again with a body shot in round three. The bout went the full eight round route, however, with Camacho winning 78-74, 79-71, 79-71.

IBF #2 featherweight Orlando Salido (30-9-2, 20 KOs) continued his comeback with a fourth round TKO over Renan Acosta (21-6, 6 KOs). A punishing barrage of punches by Salido prompted a stoppage at 2:39. Salido remains in line for a rematch with IBF champion Robert Guerrero.

WBC #7, WBO #9 super bantamweight contender Bernabe Concepcion (25-1-1, 14 KOs) defended his NABF title with an impressive second round TKO over Torrence Daniels (10-4-1, 4 KOs). After dropping Daniels with a short right hand, Concepcion's follow-up barrage prompted a stoppage by referee Ruben Carrion at the 2:42 mark.

Julio Cesar Chavez' other son, jr. welterweight Omar Chavez (9-0, 7 KOs) won a controversial and unpopular four round unanimous decision over unheralded Marco Nazareth (5-4, 3 KOs). Nazareth gave Chavez all he could handle and although local judges awarded Omar a 39-38, 39-37, 39-37 verdict, the other son of the legend deserved a draw at best.
