Unbeaten WBA and WIBF female flyweight champion Susianna Kentikian (20-0, 15 KOs) demolished Sarah Goodson (26-16-1), scoring a third round TKO on Friday night in Hamburg. The 20-year-old "Killer Queen" dominated from the outset. Again and again she punished Goodson both to the body as well as the head. The end came after 57 seconds of the third round as Kentikian mercilessly pummeled her game, but completely outclassed challenger. It was Kentikian's fifth defense of the WBA belt, and first for the WIBF belt formerly held by female boxing icon Regina Halmich. * * * In the toughest
fight of his career, Olympian Vitali Tajbert (15-0) claimed the EU super
featherweight title with scores of 115-113, 115-114, 115-113 over previously
unbeaten Jesus Garcia Escalona (15-1). Escalona showed incredible endurance
as he continued to press forward against Tajbert's impressive combinations,
but Tajbert prevailed to wIn his first title in the pros. Middleweight Gennady Golovkin needed just 2:04 to annihilate Tshepo Mashego in round one. A very impressive performance for Golovkin who is now 10-0 with 9 KOs. Heavyweight Vladimir Tereshkin went all four rounds against Mihaly Nemet, winning 40-36 on all cards. Featherweight Marcel Meyerdiercks topped Lubos Priehradnik 59-55, 60-54, 60-54 over six.
