Female
ring legend Regina Halmich brought her record to an amazing
51-1-1 with a sixth round stoppage of former world jr. fly
champion Ria Ramnarine in a WIBF flyweight title bout in Magdeburg,
Germany. Halmich kept a steady pace with continuous and solid
combinations, rarely missing her target. In the fifth round
Halmich tried to take Ramnarine out, backing her into the
ropes, but Ramnarine stood her ground with short punches but
primarily covering up. Early in the sixth round, referee Jean
Luis Legland couldn't endure the punishment Ramnarine was
undergoing and abruptly stopped the fight. Ramnarine's face
was bloody but still beautiful under her tears of disappointment
as Halmich rejoiced.

In other
action on Universum's "Strong Women" card WIBF featherweight
champion Ina Menzer shut out Leli Luz Florez over ten by scores
of 100:90, 100:90, 100:89.

GBU jr.
bantamweight champion Alesia Graf stopped Maria Jose Nunez
:42 into round three.

WIBF interim
jr flyweight titlist Julia Sahin outpointed Marylin Hernandez
97:93, 97:93, 98:92.
